Julyssa Jones

Julyssa is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Health Education at Teachers College, Columbia Univsersity. Julyssa Jones obtained her Master of Public Health in Community Health Science and Practice from New York University. Additionally, she has a Bachelors of Arts in Africana Studies from Barnard College, Columbia University. Julyssa experience includes working within the healthcare communications industry to help elevate brands’ messages and reach their target audience. Julyssa is skilled in the areas of public health and how marginalized populations are affected by healthcare inequalities. Utilizing her healthcare communications experience, Julyssa hopes to create a therapeutic space that connects all of people as one, having lived the human experience through our shared stories. Through these stories she hopes this page will provide healing, support and place to find resources to get through each minute a little bit easier.

Julyssa is Jamaican and she truly believes and is motivated by the country’s motto which states, “Out of many One People.”
